MPMS3 now ready for ferromagnetic resonance

NanOsc Instruments have just presented their new inserts and waveguides for the MPMS3. This means there now is a cryostat for broadband FMR analysis with varying temperatures to be used with CryoFMR spectrometers.
Broadband FMR spectroscopy allows measurements of several 10 GHz. It enables the exact extraction of material parameters which is not possible with static measurement techniques.
This type of spectroscopy is particularly suited for the analysis of magnetic thin films, which are the basis of fundamental spintronic and magnonic research and also play an important role in current and future technologies dealing with sensors, logic and microwave signal processing.
